Most of the academy's members are minors from vulnerable backgrounds. That's not a footnote — it's the reason the academy exists, and it shapes how everything here works. These are our commitments.
Every donation, sponsorship, media request and partnership goes through one adult: our patron, Robert Stephenson (founder of Blastbeat and Climate Actions Now, two decades of youth work across four continents). Performance bookings are handled by one named adult in Kigali — founder & CEO Boaz Ntagozera — under the patron's oversight. No supporter, client or stranger is ever put in direct contact with a child, and no child is contactable through this website.
No photo or video of a minor is published without documented consent from a parent or guardian, obtained in a language they understand. Signed consents are on file for the young people pictured on this site, logged in a consent register maintained by the patron and academy leadership. The site stays unlisted and off search engines until our patron's final sign-off.
We never publish a minor's full name, school, home area or any detail that could identify or locate them. Young people appear as performers — Tia Kids, the CCF Crew — never as case studies. Adult leaders (like founder Boaz Ntagozera, an adult) are the only named individuals.
Any guardian — or any young person — can ask for an image or mention to be removed, no reason needed. We remove it within 48 hours. Contact robert@climateactionsnow.org.
All funds are received and recorded by the patron. Support is delivered in kind: school fees paid directly to schools, kit and materials bought directly, training paid to vetted providers. Donors are told exactly where their gift went. When the CAN Rwanda social enterprise completes registration, formal governance and accounts take over this role.
Mentors and volunteers are personally vetted by the patron and academy leadership before any contact with the young people, and never work with children unaccompanied. Social media accounts are run by adult leadership.
